The Board of Trustees (BoT) at Wingra School is composed of parents, staff members, and community volunteers who are asked to give their time, treasure, and talent. The Board’s primary duties include determining the school’s mission and purpose, strategic planning, financial oversight, and supervision of the Head of School. To do this work with a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion lens, the BoT seeks trustees from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences to help steer Wingra’s growth.

This year, we are excited to welcome four new trustees: Clara, Daniel, Kailea, and Monica. We will be introducing each one of them in the upcoming Board Corners.

Clara Temlitz: I am Clara, a Pond teacher at Wingra School. I am serving on the Building and Grounds committee and am dedicated to getting our students and families outdoors together.

Kailea Saplan: Hi all! My name is Kailea (ky-LAY-uh) or Kai, and my pronouns are she/they. I’m originally from the island of Hawai’i but I’ve lived on the mainland since 2008. I moved to Madison in 2016 to pursue graduate studies in education research and curricular design. I’m excited to join Wingra School’s BoT this year and serve on both the Governance and Advancement Committees!
