Enrichment opportunities at Wingra

Overture Band Program: Wingra students 9 to 14 years old may participate in an independent band program under the auspices of Overture, Inc., an organization which provides band programs for private and parochial schools in Madison.

Children who enroll receive one semi-private lesson and one large group band rehearsal each week. Families pay tuition directly to the Overture organization and provide the necessary instruments.

Yvonne Schwinge, the Band Director, is at Wingra on Thursdays and meets with students in the band room (Room 105). The beginning band meets from 10:25 to 11:00 on Thursdays, and the advanced band from 12:15 to 1 p.m .
