The school
currently enrolls about 130 students, ages 5 to14, equivalent to kindergarten
through eighth grade, in six mixed-age classrooms. Primary classes are
for 5 to 7 year olds, intermediate/junior classes for those 8 to 11 years
old, and senior classes for 11 to 14 year olds.
Wingra classrooms
are designed to create a safe and stimulating environment. Each classroom
includes a group area for whole class meetings, a classroom library, computers,
large windows, and a loft. Space is reserved for learning centers which
are stocked with a changing assortment of materials related to the current
topic of study.
