Wingra School is located on Monroe Street near the convergence of the Dudgeon-Monroe, Vilas, Nakoma, and Westmoreland neighborhoods on Madison's west side. The school is housed in the historic Dudgeon school building, across the street from the University of Wisconsin Arboretum.

The school is accessible by Madison Metro 3 and 19 bus lines and by the Southwest and Arboretum bike paths.
