2/9/2008 Kudos to Mara Blumenstein on Madison Spelling Bee
Room 202's Mara Blumenstein made it to Round Five of the 2008 Madison All-City Bee, finishing in the top 10 of 53 spellers. She spelled "fiery" and "incredible," and was close on "harbinger," her fifth-round word. Congratulations, Mara!

Room 103 hosts Friday Follies: Random and Shiny Things. Please join us for the sparkling finale. Students have also created skits to advertise the School Store's upcoming seed sale as well as shiny pennies.

1/9/2008 Parents Learn Wingra Math- and Enjoy It!
Math learning can be fun! Who knew? The staff did! Teachers shared Wingra's mathematics curricula with skill and humor at a very worthwhile event for parents.
12/10/2007 Record Amount Collected for UNICEF
The students in Room 101 are done counting and want to announce that the Wingra community collected $2657.18 for UNICEF this year!
10/31/2007 Extended Day Program is hosting a Thanksgiving Fundraiser!
Students in the Extended Day Program decided to raise more money for UNICEF in the spirit of Thanksgiving. They will place jars in each classroom for spare change and dollar bills through November 16. We appreciate your donations!
10/25/2007 Room 200 Students Create Their Haunted House
Room 200 students take on all aspects of planning and implementation of this annual Wingra School tradition. They are responsible for the script writing, floor plan, tech carryout, makeup and overall production of the performance.

Thank you to all of the Wingra parents and staff who attended our first Community Conversation on August 9. Participants voiced their ideas about how to strengthen the Wingra community and contributed ideas about what should be on future agendas.
